Placing your order

Items can be added or removed from the shopping cart / Quote / Invoice at any time up to the submission of payment. You will be given the option of registering an account with us so that we can remember your address and contact details for the next time you place an order. However, we respect your privacy and this step is not compulsory to complete an order. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details of how we store and use any data provided to us.

Upon submitting payment you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email to confirm receipt of your order and you have then entered into a binding contract. In the unlikely event that goods are no longer available or we have made a pricing mistake, we will notify you by email as soon as possible. Alternatively, at our discretion, we may offer equivalent goods of the same or greater value.

Payment Methods

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. We currently accept payments via, Stripe, PayPal, Bacs, Cheque or Card payments (over the phone) and chip and pin. Just click the appropriate link at the checkout. All major credit cards can be used via PayPal or over the phone. All checkout payments will be in GBP Sterling at the price shown on the website. Alternatively, for UK customers not wishing to pay online, we can accept payments over the phone (01484 810 247). Please allow 5 working days for clearance before your order is processed when paying via cheque.

Late Payment Penalties

All invoice must be paid on or before the due date. We will send you reminders to you via email and on occasion by post on any overdue invoices.
If any invoiced amount is not paid, by the due date as stated on the invoice, the following will be applicable:

    • We reserve the right to commence legal proceedings without further notice at which time we will seek to recover our costs and interest on the outstanding amount.
    • Those overdue amounts may accrue late interest fee @ 5% per day after 14 days of the due date, or the maximum rate permitted by the law, whichever is lower.
    • We may condition future contract renewals/service renewals or suspend our services to you until such amount is paid in full including any late fees or charges
    • All goods remain the property of Eco Trade Limited trading as Northwest Security until paid for in full. We may take action to recover any unpaid items including the removal of any installed items. E&OE



All packages will be dispatched with a tracking number via major shipping contractors such as UPS or TNT, or First Class Signed for Post (UK only).
Shipping prices are shown on checkout. Important Note: In exceptional cases, some very bulky or heavy orders may incur additional shipping charges but we will always contact you with the exact cost before anything is shipped out if there is any variation from what you have paid.

We aim to dispatch all stock items within 2 working days of receipt of order and payment. For all other items, please allow 7 to 10 days for delivery. If your order is particularly time-sensitive, we recommend that you telephone or email us to check availability and discuss shipping options prior to placing your order. Returns Policy and Procedure

Whilst we only deal with reputable manufacturers and suppliers, very occasionally the goods supplied may be faulty, damaged, incomplete or not what you ordered. In certain circumstances, consumers (private individuals purchasing goods for purposes not connected with their trade, business or profession) may have the right to cancel a contract under the 7-day ‘cooling-off’ period prescribed by the Distance Selling Regulations. We operate within the terms of the Sale of Goods Act.

The sections below are designed to provide you with a summary of legal rights under this legislation and guide you through how we will deal with complaints of this nature. It is in no way designed to be a complete or exhaustive set of rules or regulations and is subject to change, with prior written notice in the form of email or letter.

Disputes relating to products purchased for use in a business environment or as part of someone’s work must be pursued under the normal business to business sale of goods contract rules. If any items or parts are missing, please email Northwest Security upon receipt of goods and we will endeavour to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

If a delivery that you are receiving appears to have significant external damage to it we would suggest that you refuse delivery from the courier. If it appears to have some slight damage we would recommend that you accept delivery and then proceed to check the goods for damage or problems. Consumers have 7 working days starting the day after receipt of their products to register a request to return an item or items under ‘cooling-off’ legislation this does not apply to any installations. We require that any such request be submitted in writing or by email to

Please specify your reason for wishing to return the goods as accurately as possible to enable us to deal with your request efficiently.

Goods must then be returned to the address below with their original packaging.

The condition of the goods will remain the purchaser’s responsibility until goods have been booked in and assessed by Northwest Security. We will not be held responsible for any damage or faults (which have not been reported to us prior to shipping) incurred in returning goods to us.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser in all cases except where goods are faulty. Original shipping labels should be left on the packaging. However, please wrap the package in an outer layer before applying return labels to avoid confusion during shipping. Certain items are ineligible for return or refund under the ‘cooling-off’ period legislation, namely: All microphones, any in-ear earphones, or in-ear monitors, and any other items that touch your mouth, your nose, or your inner ear once opened, due to the health and safety policy.

Bespoke goods ordered specifically to meet a customer’s requirements including software, media, sample CD’s and any other copyrighted goods can not be returned if the item has been opened (refer to the warranty policy).

If a product develops a fault within 30 days of receipt then we will either:

    • Refund upon return of the faulty item
    • Repair upon return of the faulty item
    • Replace upon return of the faulty item

Refund, repair or replacement is at our discretion and we may decline a request for a specific course of action based on cost. As an alternative remedy, we may offer a reasonable amount of compensation (not exceeding the cost of repair or replacement) if this is more convenient for the customer.
If neither repair nor replacement is realistically possible the customer can request a partial or full refund. A full refund may not be reasonable if the customer has received some benefit from the unit before the problem appeared and the refund given would be in proportion to the amount of use they had from the unit before the problem occurred.

After a customer has had an item for 30 days we will always look to get it repaired as long as this is without significant inconvenience to the customer. As a guideline, we would endeavour to get all repairs to be completed within 21 days of receipt.

Any product(s) that have already been installed by Northwest Security is excused from our returns and cancellation policy.
We cannot provide repairs if products have been misused  – through improper use, incompatible accessories, etc.
Whilst we take the up-most care to ensure complete compatibility between hardware and software products and endeavour to configure all equipment to the customer’s requirements, due to the frequent changes and continual upgrading of software and associated drivers we are unable to guarantee compatibility. Should a compatibility issue arise we will endeavour to solve the problem, but in the event that we are unable to do so, we cannot accept any liability for consequential loss.


Chargeable fees

A fee will be payable for call outs (see below).  All callout prices include the first hour (minimum charge) and are for customers who do not hold a maintenance package with us.

● Callout fee (Monday – Friday between 9 AM and5 PMM) – £45 ○ Additional hourly fee – £25
● Callout fee (Monday – Friday between 5 PM and 11 PM) – £75 ○ Additional hourly fee – £40

● Remote support per hour (password reset, add/delete users, Setup information) – £10
● Remote video support CCTV (We download / Edit your crime and forward it to you in HD) – £30 FIRST ONE FREE

Callouts and additional fees to consider: If you have a wifi system and you change your wireless password or provider and you need support setting this up with your system, we can offer remote telephone support to talk you through the setup or dispatch an engineer, both would fall under a chargeable fee.

Note: Callouts fees are not covered under your warranty unless you’re covered via a maintenance package.
